On Thursday, February 18, 2010 the Utah State Legislature formally honored Christie's Dad for his work and research on Utah's Fallen Officers. Our family got to walk out on the Legislative Floor while in session to listen to the formal statement of recognition for both his work in discovering many fallen officers forgotten by the passing of time and for the work he has done assisting the families they leave behind. Many families of fallen officers traveled quite a distance to be present for this honor. At the end of the statement all of the legislators stood and applauded him. Christie's Dad seemed embarrased by the attention but we were all very proud of him. The picture isn't great because they were in session and they didn't want camera flashes going off while the statement was being recorded.
